Mega Group Online (MGO) is a Consumer Reporting Agency (CRA) operating on behalf of our clients. Data we collect and provide to our clients is used for making decisions regarding employment, tenancy, and credential verification. Types of information collected include name, Social Security Number, National ID Number, Passport Number, date of birth, address history, and other personal identifiers. When we collect personal data, we provide timely and appropriate notice describing what personal information we are collecting, how we will use it, and the types of third parties with whom we may share it.
Choice
Mega Group Online will provide consumers with a choice regarding the way we use and share their personal information and we will respect the choice the consumer has made. Should consumers not wish to have their personal information made available to MGO, MGO’s clients or MGO’s designated agents, information can be directly withheld by the consumer. If the consumer provides MGO with a signed consent, the consumer authorizes MGO and all of MGO’s designated agents, to utilize the consumer’s personal information for employment, tenant, and credential verification purposes.
Onward Transfer
Mega Group Online does employ third party agents. MGO ensures that any third party for which personal information may be disclosed subscribes to the Principles outlined by U.S.-EU Safe Harbor Framework and the U.S.-Swiss Safe Harbor Framework or are subject to law providing the same level of privacy protection as is required by the Principles and agree in writing to provide adequate level of privacy protection. Possibility of data transfer is disclosed to the consumer at the time consumer consent is requested.
Access
Mega Group Online shall allow a consumer access to their personal information and allow the consumer to correct, amend or delete inaccurate information, except where the burden or expense of providing access would be disproportionate to the risks to the privacy of the individual in the case in question or where the rights of persons other than the individual would be violated. The consumer will only be allowed access to personal information after the identity of the consumer has been adequately verified.
Data Security
Mega Group Online will take appropriate physical, technical, and organizational measures to protect a consumer’s personal information from loss, misuse, unauthorized access or disclosure, alteration, and destruction. While MGO cannot guarantee the security of information on or transmitted via the Internet, reasonable actions will be taken to protect a consumer’s personal information.
Data Integrity
Mega Group Online will only process personal information in a way that is compatible with and relevant for the purpose for which it was collected or authorized by the consumer. To the extent necessary for those purposes, Mega Group Online shall take reasonable steps to ensure that personal information is accurate, complete, current and reliable for its intended use.
Enforcement
Mega Group Online encourages interested persons to raise any concerns using the contact information provided. Further, should MGO be unable to satisfy a consumer’s concern, we will collaborate and cooperate with the European Data Protection Authorities to investigate and attempt to resolve any complaints and disputes regarding the use and disclosure of personal information in accordance with the U.S.-EU Safe Harbor and the U.S.-Swiss Safe Harbor Principles. MGO will periodically review and update their privacy policy in order to ensure compliance and conformity with the U.S.-EU Safe Harbor and the U.S.-Swiss Safe Harbor Framework and Principles.
